Our Pet Care Policies and Requirements

At The Dogz House, we aim to keep things fun and safe for all our furry guests. While we prefer to keep rules minimal, we do have some essential guidelines to ensure everyone enjoys their time with us.

Our Rules

  • Health First: All dogs must be free of fleas and ticks. Regular flea treatments and worming, as advised by your vet, are crucial. If fleas are detected, we’ll separate your dog from others until they’re treated and collected.
  • Sick Days: If your dog has been unwell with symptoms like coughing, vomiting, or diarrhoea in the 48 hours before their visit, please keep them at home until they’re fully recovered or cleared by a vet.
  • Safety Matters: To ensure the safety of everyone, we cannot accept aggressive dogs. Additionally, if your dog can scale or jump fences higher than 6 feet, our environment may not be suitable for them.
  • Neutering Policy: To prevent behavioural issues, we require all dogs over one-year-old to be neutered. We also cannot accommodate female dogs in season or those expected to come into season during their stay.
  • Vaccination Requirements: All dogs must be up-to-date with their vaccinations, including kennel cough, to ensure their health and well-being.
  • Opening Hours: We’re open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays and from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm on weekends. If you’re running late for an evening pick-up, we prefer your dog stays with us rather than disrupt our home boarders' routine.
  • Collar Requirement: Dogs should wear a collar during the day. If they wear a harness, we’d prefer to remove it for comfort, but a collar is necessary. If no collar is available, the harness will remain on.
